COMPLETED INITIATIVES
As a token of appreciation, each participant received a package containing bangles, exercise bands, awareness and exercise pamphlets, badges, and biscuits. The positive engagement from the community reflects a shared commitment to raising awareness about breast cancer. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this important initiative—together, we are making strides toward a future where breast cancer is detected early and treated effectively.
On 23rd December, SLCF collaborated with EduGrow, a student-run organisation that works with government school children in the city, to host a hopeful event for the holiday season. We took six classes of fourth and fifth graders from Mandal Parishad Primary School to create handmades cards in English and Telugu for cancer patients. The goal of this initiative was to engage the children in an act of kindness that could brighten the lives of those facing the challenges of breast cancer. These cards serve as a reminder to the patients that people are hoping and rooting for them, which can prove powerful, especially at times when many cancer patients feel isolated.
By helping these students make a difference, we hope to teach compassion, while bringing a little bit of joy and hope to those who need it.
On September 12, 2024, the Stargazer Lily Cancer Foundation held a successful bake sale at Lanco Hills. Our dedicated core team came together to prepare a delightful selection of baked goods, including muffins, brownies, cookies, apple crumble, cake pops, and cakes—each made with care and enthusiasm.
We are pleased to share that the event raised over 19,000 rupees! This achievement reflects the generous support of our community. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed—whether by baking, purchasing treats, or spreading the word. Your involvement made this bake sale a success!
The funds raised will support various initiatives of the Stargazer Lily Cancer Foundation in the future. From providing essential resources for cancer patients and their families to funding awareness campaigns, your contributions will help us continue our mission to make a positive impact. Thank you for standing with us in the fight against cancer!
SCLF HOSPITAL INITIATIVE
In the first week of February, SLCF will be distributing care packages to breast cancer patients. These packages will include the cards made by the children who participated on 23rd December, as well as an issue of Pro Bono magazine, which is student-run. The packages will contain other items, which include crochet hats, stress toys, bangles, tote bags, and extra decorations to brighten the recipient's days.
This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to support and uplift cancer patients, and show them that they are not alone during their treatment journey. We are grateful to the students, volunteers, and everyone involved in creating these care packages. Through this effort, we hope to bring hope and comfort to those who need it.
On January 31st, 2026, the Stargazer Lily Cancer Foundation organized yet another successful bake sale at Indu Fortune Fields! From freshly baked cookies to multi-flavoured muffins, our core team offered a wide variety of treats made with love and passion that were enjoyed by many members of the community.
We are thrilled to share that the bake sale raised more than ₹15,000 rupees! This accomplishment was made possible through the collective efforts of our team, supporters, and everyone who purchased a treat or learn more about our cause. The enthusiasm and generosity shown throughout the event were truly inspiring.
The proceeds from the bake sale will contribute to the foundation's ongoing initiatives, including supporting cancer patients and their families, promoting cancer awareness, and expanding future outreach programs.
We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated and supported the event. Together, we continue to strengthen our mission of spreading hope, awareness, and support through meaningful action!
